Let's get to work! (Acts 20:24)

In Acts 20:24 the Apostle Paul says: “But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus--the work of telling others the Good News about God's wonderful kindness and love.”

If we truly love our "Work", it becomes effortless doesn't it! Time flies by, joy is experienced and drudgery is a word of the past. Reflecting on Acts 20:24 is powerful to me as it keeps me focused on what my WORK truly is. SURE, we may be "disguised" as doctors, teachers, cashiers, waitresses, grandmas, moms, neighbors,...As believers in Christ we are ALL on the same team with the same boss. For those of you who attended the TRUE PURPOSE conference, may this verse be of an encouragement that our lives serve an eternal purpose. All it takes is Faith- TRUST- and OBEDIANCE. What are we all waiting for? More devastating news to shake us up? More times in the ditch to remind us of our hopeless reliance on our creator? Seeking answers to prayer that aren't answered our way in our time? WE have to remember, that it is NOT about us. It is all about HIM!
Sharing the Good News about God's wonderful kindness and love is our purpose. It's our life's "Work". Work that brings satisfaction, work that brings eternal rewards, work that energizes us. Isn't it fun getting more and more "assignements?" That is what keeps life incredibly exciting on the journey of faith!!!
