There are moments throughout the season, when family is close and all is well, where we experience such a peace. The worries of yesterday are nowhere to be found as our attention is focused on the ones we love, treasuring them in the moments presented. It can be hard to find that peace in the middle of a chaotic day, when our patience is tested and the storms of life have beaten upon our joy. Let this poem remind us that peace is not always a feeling to hold on to but something we learn how to live out:
Peace is a pause
A moment in time
Reminded of why
And the Saviour who died
Peace is a place
I pour out my heart
If just for a start
And He answers in part
Peace is a stance
When chaos ensues
Destruction and ruin
But my faith remains true
Peace is His name
He's mercy and grace
He shows us His face
And we're never the same
Peace remains close
Remember it's light
It fills you with life
For the Saviour's alive!
